Great, Challenging Company

Pros

- Challenging yet rewarding work - processes/priorities change daily, but that keeps it interesting - Career growth for those willing to work hard - Opportunities to collaborate with other departments - Leadership will give you feedback - positive or constructive - for your personal development - Flexible schedules for those meeting or exceeding job requirements - Making a difference in healthcare

Cons

Agree with the review a few days ago. I more have "warnings" for those who are looking to apply: - If you can't deal with a continuously changing, fast-pace environment, this is not the place for you. - Like most companies, there are different levels of performers. Unfortunately, the low performers are the loudest (you'll see their reviews below). The funny thing is, it doesn't take much to be a high performer. It's pretty simple actually. You really just need to be able to work independently, do quality work, and show you can meet the minimum job expectations. Management gives you TONS of chances and coaching too to help you get to that minimum threshold. - vRad is flexible with team members, but will let team members go if they can't cooperate with their boss, take too many breaks to gossip in the break room or on IM/emails. Even though you're one person in the company, vRad's work fluctuates, so when one person is slacking, it not only hurts their department, but the doctors and the patients waiting for our services.

Pros

Company hosts great employee parties including Happy Hour, Pizza Parties, Painting, German Beer Party Yearly with a tent and everything! Decent hourly wages and benefits Great PTO package!

Cons

They give Management positions to people with 0 management experience which creates a bad work environment for those being managed. There is a high turnover rate. People are constantly getting fired and they have a hard time keeping employees in the higher stress jobs therefore creating tons of work for everyone else. They have unrealistic expectations. For example, a co-worker mentioned that they were given more work than everyone else on their team on purpose so that they could fire her when she couldn't complete the work. They make up reasons to fire you and create fake paper trails to cover themselves. Depending on your department, I'd seriously think twice before working here.

Pros

This company will do and say anything to get bodies in the door- including, but not limited to, company-funded happy hours, department outings to play Whirlyball, and three weeks of PTO.

Cons

You, and by that I mean everyone, has virtually no value in the eyes of upper management. Don't get me wrong, there have been a few good eggs that have managed to make it long enough to be promoted up through the years and decided to stick around. For the most part, however, daily life at vRad is a never-ending game of office politics where brown-nosing is encouraged and doing the morally right thing could get you fired. At the end of the day, the only valued aspect of the business is numbers. When something goes wrong on a multi-department level, they'll cut anyone loose just to have a head to present.

Physician Services going downhill

Pros

Decent starting pay and benefits, company outings and events like painting, whirlyball, half hour walk breaks, happy hours, casual dress code, PTO

Cons

Lack of respect for employee's outside life. Inconsistent management, often overwhelming workloads, high employee turnover, unfair favoritism, hours not flexible, despite being told otherwise- you do not get the ability to work from home unless you have good ties with the managers
