Pros

Good benefits and pay for a small-ish company Some work from home flexibility (1 day a week) Training options (helpful since you may leverage this to create your own promotion opportunities) Small enough that you can know everyone's name and what they do Lots of work events so you can meet people outside your own team Management shares what's going on so you're not in the dark

Cons

Limited options for promotion (not bad, just not great) More vacation days in the first year please

Pros

There aren’t a ton. I enjoyed the company of some of my coworkers but this place is an absolute dead-end. The 5 star reviews are either fake or from a select few who are paid adequately.

Cons

Everyone aside from management is underpaid however, you’re expected to “wear many hats” and provide extra work without compensation. You can see several responses from the company saying their wages are adequate but that’s only one side of the coin. The entire attitude of the company is that of distrust. “We’ll pay you more, if you prove yourself” “We’ll think about a promotion if you spend extra time on the weekend” etc. Overall, this place is just a stepping stone to learn how to navigate terrible leadership.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that your experience here was not a positive one. We’d like to address some of your key concerns. We have a commitment to our vendors to ensure all aspects of orders are handled promptly and effectively. However, we are equally committed to ensuring our employees have a balanced workload. Most of our employees work 40 hours a week. Salary employees may have the need to work more hours if they have something they want to complete, or they are flexing their time. We offer both alternate and hybrid schedules. During Q4 our workload may go up and our warehouse team works overtime hours, but they are compensated for it. We encourage any employees to speak with their managers or HR if they have concerns about their workloads or their hours. Being a small, privately held company it can be challenging to have a dedicated career path for each employee. That said, we strive to have those conversations at every opportunity to ensure every person can be their best selves at work. We’ve added LinkedIn Learning for training and development opportunities for every employee. Regardless of the level of experience, everyone that comes through our doors has an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of the supply chain as it relates to product distribution. This builds experience whether an employee chooses to build a career here or elsewhere; and we are humbled to be part of their journey. We are always focused on our team, and the vast majority of all feedback we receive from our employees reflects a high-level of satisfaction across the organization. If you have thoughts on what we can do better, please feel free to reach out to me directly at hr@virtualsupply.com.
