Pros

The company has very dedicated employees with a strong work ethic. They are trying to grow the company, hire a strong management team, and create strong processes.

Cons

Oh where do I begin? I was warned prior to joining the company that the Sr. Leadership team was not trustworthy and was doing some shady business practices. I ignored that feedback considering the source was a former employee that was asked to leave. I also ignored advice from a friend who used to underwrite credit risk for banks that joining a company with one major client is very risky. I also ignored this because the compensation and benefits that they offered was too attractive to turn down. I should have in hindsight. After only five months working at the company, they laid off nearly 1/3 of us without warning. The CEO stood up that day and told the rest of us that we were fine for another 5-6 months. TWO WEEKS later he laid off another large group of us. Clearly this shows that they do not have a clear plan, meaningful forecasts, or know how to run a company. If they cannot even project two weeks out, how can they manage a company? Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The worst of it was that one employee was hired in January and moved his family all the way from Boston. He received his first and last paycheck on the same day. Disgusting if you ask me.

Pros

Engineering focused organization with a passion for their technology.

Cons

Not business minded, a lack of foresight and business planning, in addition to some serious errors has kept them from growing.

Pros

Product could have had lots of potential but the company is dysfunctional.

Cons

First of all where do I start? The executive team consisting of the CEO, COO and CTO need to step down and never attempt to run a business again. Blowing through millions of dollars with the lack of understanding the basic principles of fiscal responsibility is not how you manage a business. The CEO had a problem with honesty and transparency or the CEO's interpretation of both definitions is different from the rest of the business world. The COO is a glorified engineer and should find career developing software; not claiming to have the knowledge of how to run the operations of any business. Lastly, the CTO spent money on useless technology and did not understand the fundamental concept that you need customers in order to generate revenue.
