We are not a large company and we do get personnel who first come really requesting for a job and when they have learned enough and start getting offers due to the good name of our company, they want to jump without fulfilling company obligations such as notice period. I don't need to answer your point on relieving letters since there are dozens from our team who have left over the years on a good note with full relieving and have now become an extended arm of our company and recommend our company wherever they go... getting us more business. We neither take personnel who have not left their previous organization on a good note and neither we allow employees to take exit formalities for granted just cause you got a couple of thousands of rupees salary more and now want to runoff leaving projects in the lurch. Advice to you: Have some respect for the company who gave you a job when you needed it, paid your salary on time. Have some basic ethics and look beyond your personal selfishness to understand the soup that you leave the company in when you abscond or want a lesser notice period.

As I see from your profile, you had come onboard as a BD... as a company we have suffered over the years with ineffective BD personnel who leech out on company time and push as long as required... this is especially since no targets are imposed on our BD team. Try and work for the salary you get, perhaps you will manage to stick around.
