Pros

The biggest pro is the culture - I feel supported by all of my colleagues, and you get the sense that everyone wants to see their coworkers succeed and grow. Management is also very transparent about where we are and where we're headed. There are also ample opportunities for advancement - since this is a small company, there is always room for you to grow and take on more responsibilities. The benefits package is excellent! Health, dental, etc. plus each employee gets a philanthropy budget and a personal development budget to use as they like.

Cons

Work schedules can vary - some weeks you are looking for things to do, and other weeks you are working overtime on a project. As far as I can tell, this is pretty typical of any job in the market research industry.

Pros

The team genuinely cares for one another's success. The work culture is incredibly supportive. The employees are all invested in the company's success in several ways, both through compensation and professional development. Each employee has a path toward career development. Clients are more like partners and the team is encouraged to explore new ideas openly and innovate. Product and service development are taken with deliberate efforts to explore each opportunity's value.

Cons

Small company, so the team sometimes has to be nimble with new opportunities.

Pros

There are quite a few pros, the biggest one is the people and culture. The people are great, they are intelligent, hardworking, and reliable, in short everything you could want in a colleague. There is a constant push for individual growth and that is supported by the company initiatives. People give feedback in an honest but kind way and you are responsible for implementing and benefiting from that feedback. While there are company events and team building activities none of them feel like "mandated fun" they are honest gatherings to just enjoy each other's company and catch up in a way that is hard to do during a busy work day. Mission and values are the core of Vivisum and they guide almost everything the company does from setting yearly goals to guiding where time is spent. There are outreach programs, philanthropy budgets, and everyone gets a say in how we help our community. The work is interesting and engaging. There are lots of different areas the org works in and you end up learning a lot about a lot of things on each project. This is fun but can make you feel a little out of your depth at times. There is an ebb and flow to the work, which on the plus side can mean there are instances when it is really easy to take a vacation or run to the dentist during work hours. On the other side there are periods when it is extraordinarily busy and everyone is working weird hours. This is also the sort of place where you will get out as much as you put in. If you seek growth and responsibility and are willing to try new things and put in the effort there is substantial room for growth. No one is going to micro-manage you, they will support you, provide education, and help as needed but it is on you to get things done. This is a culture of trust and that has to swing both ways.

Cons

The work is very ebb or flow, there are periods where you are running and others when you are looking for something to do. There is always something to do you just need to be proactive and find it. As the company is growing they are continuing to explore options and find their feet in a few places. This is not so much a con as something that can feel a little uncertain at times. The good thing is the CEO puts people first and is very transparent so you know what is coming. In a company which values drive you need to be self-motivated, have good time management, and seek opportunities. This is not somewhere you can expect to receive marching orders and follow with little thought you have to put in the effort.
