The guy at the top of this company makes some really, really poor decisions. Sometimes it feels like I am working under a dictator who has lost the plot. They have recently changed the commission structure within sales and now it's really very unfair and very difficult to get paid against target if the company overall does not hit it's 'invoiced' target for the month (and each quarter). Anyway, I've been here long enough and fed up of the micro-management and intrusive (verging on abusive) behaviour of some of the more senior staff/Directors, so I am already looking elsewhere. There's very little room to develop a career here, especially in Sales or if you don't fit in with the management. Also, the company is losing money, the past few years have been really tough with overall profits less than 2% which is very poor, the ship is half sunk already!
