Pros

The training program is great and has amazing instructors. Hired immediately following graduation, even before taking the state certification test, at my choice of 3 LTC facilities in Eugene OR. Got additional facility-specific training upon hire.

Cons

Most of the CNAs and RNs are agency Per diem travel nurses. High turnover. No real "Team" feel. Plenty of nice friendly helpful co workers that you will never see again. The call light system is outdated and not set up for efficiency, makes for alot of running back and forth. Often short staffed. No organization during report.

Pros

Union bonus, always able to pick up shifts, different schedule options. Most co-workers are helpful, and rewarding to care for residents.

Cons

Low pay. Only get benefits if do weird 4 on 2 off schedule. Company is cheap and does not replace old equipment or order enough supplies sometimes.
