Pros
None. I guess a good BASE salary (bonuses never paid)
Cons
Hoping to save someone from making this mistake. A deeply unstable work environment marked by frequent turnover and unclear strategic direction. The company struggles with consistent execution in both hiring and sales, which often leads to employees being let go within a few months, regardless of performance. Sales expectations are unrealistic, and even top performers have been let go for not projecting exponential growth year over year or even because they are owed a bonus that the company can’t afford. Rather than building sustainable processes, the company appears heavily focused on presenting inflated sales funnels to investors, often at the expense of its employees. The emphasis is on optics over actual results. Bonuses are promised but rarely delivered, and instead, employees are offered ambiguous “points” representing future equity, something many never see due to being terminated beforehand. There is a noticeable lack of transparency around these incentive structures. Management in the U.S. has limited authority and often acts at the direction of the European leadership team. Morale is low, and job security is virtually nonexistent outside of a small inner circle at the top. Many employees operate under constant pressure, not knowing whether their contributions will be rewarded or if they’ll be the next to go. Additionally, internal surveillance practices, including access to employee emails and communications, raise concerns around trust and micromanagement. Overall, Voovio seems more focused on sustaining investor interest than building a strong, lasting business or culture. I recommend that candidates do thorough due diligence and speak to former employees before considering a role here.
