Pros

The company (Cision / Vocus) was awesome before acquired mid of 2015. Unfortunately not much staff remains so if you are still there for any reason it would be hard for them to get rid of you as not too many employees are there who can sell.

Cons

This space will fall short to mention cons. The new product is awful and the higher management has no clue about the feedback - you are not allowed to say anything. The Vuelio gang will do everything to bully you if you give any constructive feedback. Management is busy playing their love - hate games. If you just want to waste your time then join this company, you can only succeed if you have good contacts and good at bending rather than working hard.

Pros

Only pro was the litte comission you can earn and the friday drinks. They had nothing else to other that was of value and progressed those who were undeserving of it

Cons

Management scoffed at you when you raised concerns. Make it mandatory to come in at 8:30 and not to leave before 18:00 by midnight implying you risk your position if you don’t, however only contract you to work 9-17:30. Hostile work enviroment not addressed by any level of managment. Actually selling software that didn’t belong to them and falsely advertise what they do sell

Pros

- Good colleagues, generally talented and capable people - Good social company

Cons

Unfortunately, the company went downhill and fast after the acquisition by Vuelio leading to a very toxic, political and tumultuous environment. Some of the issues: - Sub par technology platform, while there were some talented developers and people the management just had no idea how to run a software company and made some very odd promotional choices while not recognising high achievers. Nepotism for sure. - On the spot, negative updates (often about redundancies)- this was not transparent management but left employees feeling scared and insecure about their future and the feeling there was always more negative news than positive - High turnover of staff alongside the redundancies - As a result they extended notice periods to force people into staying longer (but not offering anything in return) - Hugely sales focussed organisation. Sales can do no wrong while investment in services and development was miniscule - Lack of progression This is not an example of a progressive software company. I would avoid, many more better companies in city of London.
