Pros

Engineering team is full of great people. Middle management was solid. Technology was interesting and cool to work on.

Cons

Decision-making was erratic and rarely took input from the people on the floor actually making things work. Company does not care about people, just what it can squeeze from them. Poor decisions would get made and speaking about them was frowned upon. Inter-departmental conflict slowed everything down. It felt like working in the Chernobyl show: question nothing, watch as completely avoidable problems make everyone’s lives harder.

Pros

New tech and company likes to buy new capital but poorly manage.

Cons

Poor overall management structure with limited coordination and accountability. Production planning is ineffective and lacks realistic scheduling or foresight. Upper management frequently shifts priorities in a reactive, knee-jerk manner, creating confusion and inefficiency. Employees are consistently overworked and experiencing burnout, with little to no support unless it directly impacts specific high-visibility projects.

Uncertainty Around the Company’s Future

Pros

The company has a strong ambition to reshape the 3D printing industry. With the U.S. government prioritizing domestic supply chains and advanced manufacturing, this is an especially opportune time for growth in the manufacturing sector, positioning the company well for future success.

Cons

Technical challenges in key areas (e.g., optical, hardware, software/digital thread, process control ...). Unclear strategic direction at times from leadership. Ongoing impact from historical technical debt and past management decisions despite recent restructuring and new funding.
