      Great work, great people, not-so-great upper-management

      Pros

      Incredibly talented and committed staff. Opportunity to do work that is fun, satisfying, and (I think) important. No shortage of equipment, studios or tech to get most jobs done.

      A great place to get experience and then burn out

      Pros

      You'll get a lot of experience fairly quickly, because there aren't enough people to do the amount of work expected.

      Cons

      Burn out is built into the DNA of this institution. Understaffing and poor management force employees to work long hours for a penance. Everyone has so much on their plate that all thought is extinguished. There is no room to think here. The journalism suffers and the people do too.
