*Training is bad. No real programme around this, people forget to tell you little things which end up causing issues down the track. *Boring, repetitive work *Staff in the general place can be quite rude/snarky and none of this gets dealt with really (although most are nice enough) *Not very clean - cleaners seem to do absolute basics *PCs are often slow (for a polytech, this is strange) *Some staff are very stuck in their ways and won't listen to ideas for improvements *Cafeteria is very expensive with most food being very average *There is little money to be spent on campuses/staff/students *You don't get paid overtime. You get time in lieu. Be careful that you have a boss that honours this.

Inefficient, frustrating policies/procedures that date back to the 80's. Management do not trust their staff. Seem to have no problem with, for example, in stock items in NZ taking up to 2.5 weeks to be ordered and arrive. Management will not listen to experienced staff's concerns/advice. In fact, they will bully you, and try and find a way to dismiss you if you speak out. Academically, I would not recommend this place to any students either.
