Pros

I can't think of a single thing that makes this even a tolerable workplace.

Cons

You have post employment constraints detailed in your contract that stop you leaving reviews like this for 12 months after you leave. Now that that's up, lets address each of the ratings I've given as I feel this is extremely important. Career Opportunities: There are none. I have watched people fill in for roles, being told they would recieve a promotion to make the position permanent, to be kicked out of the role suddenly because they decided to hire a new person with minimal experience. And if you want to even relocate in the same role, you better hope you have a good relationship with your manager, because if you don't, they WILL go out of your way to sabotage your reputation within the organization to make it impossible to move from your current role and location. I've even watched staff be asked by upper management to do an action that would further their career in the company, only to have their current manager tell upper management to not contact them again. Lets also talk about the turnover rate of almost 60% per year. Thats right, more than the majority of staff will leave this company within a year, and instead of considering internal promotions, WISE will just hire the next person to apply and put them in management positions, even if they've never been a manager before. Compensations and benefits: You'll get reimbursed for your fuel when you are travelling for a customer. Maybe. It depends on how your manager is feeling. If you cant prove you left the office for a customer, you'll be asked to remove it from your reimbursement form. Salary sacrifice would be great if any of the services WISE is linked to were useful. Unfortunately there is non stop reports of the salary sacrifice options being late or not delivering on what they promised. Culture and values: I have watched managers joke around with team members regarding the disabilities of customers as well as other people in the team. The gossiping is encouraged and often times started by managers - you best believe that if anyone finds out the smallest information about you, it WILL be known by everyone in the team before you finish for the day. WISE pretends that they are a customer centric organization, but managers will tell you to lie to your customers to avoid spending money on them. This includes if your customers are in crisis situations. Diversity and inclusion: This is a joke. This is the straightest, white-est, most able bodied organization I've ever worked for. The beauty of this is that there is a division of WISE called Rainbow WISE, which caters to the LGBTQIA+ community. They are so surface level with their understanding of the community that it feels like internalized homophobia. If you have lived experience of disability, including if you are diagnosed with mental disorders and you try to educate your team, someone else who is self diagnosed will talk over you to pretend they are an expert. This even circles back to the LGBTQIA+ community, because clearly straight white women know more about the needs of queer people than actual queer people. Senior management: Literally non existent. You are lucky if you hear from your regional manager more than once a quarter in an email, let alone seeing them in person. Stress is handed down from each manager instead of taking any accountability on how they can manage better, so everything falls on the teams in the office, even if a situation has nothing to do with them. Work life balance: Yet another word that is not heard in this organization. You are expected to be on call from 6am to 7pm, and you will be expected to continue servicing your customers after you finish for the day and including on weekends. Of course they cant contract you to do this, so instead if you choose to restrict your working hours to your contracted hours, you will just be micromanaged so aggressively that you won't be able to cope with the toxic work environment being created and be forced to leave to protect your mental health. Overall, I would rather work as a plumber who exclusively works with blocked toilets with no PPE than ever work for this organization ever again. WISE Employment's reputation is well known by our customers as being extremely poor. There is a good reason for this. For the rest of my life, if anyone needs advice on a disability employment service, I will tell them about my time with WISE to encourage them to never under any circumstances link themselves to them. If you are in desperate need of a job, feel free to take the offer extended to you, but do not stop looking for other work, as you'll be doing this before your probation period ends anyway. Personally I would rather just stay unemployed.

Pros

Pay, self managed schedule and nfp benefits

Cons

The WORST environment I have ever seen. I dealt with bullying , gossiping , rumours , fraud , and the most unsupportive HR and culture I have ever seen. Just because you have drag queens as part of events does not make you inclusive! I have also dealt with multiple forms of racism. This role effected me so bad I need to take 6 months off before looking.
