      Pros

      If you are tired of moving forward in your TV news career this is the place for you. It takes people YEARS to get another station to hire them away from this station.

      Cons

      For most people this is their first or second station but they have a hard time getting a station in a bigger market to hire them. Most either leave the industry, drop to a smaller market or accept that they will spend the rest of their career at a "starter station"

      Pros

      Good people, good friendships formed. My immediate supervisor was a decent man (but had restrictions due to upper management).

      Cons

      Pay is low. Frequent raise freezes. Raises (when you get them) are low. Examples...25 cents is generous. Very small company yet, upper management may never learn your name. Ever. Why? Because you aren't important. And in the grand scheme of things, you do not matter. Budget cuts often leave you shorthanded and doing the jobs of other people. They never seem to be in a hurry to hire to replace those that leave...and for obvious reasons..people often leave.

      If you want to learn every aspect of the news business, apply here because you will be asked to do everything even if it doesn’t apply to your job

      Cons

      Terrible pay, management has zero idea of how to do anything, The managers talk to you like you are dumb because you are new or haven’t been around as long as they have. It is a revolving door because no one wants to be there.
