Worst Office Environment Ever

Pros

My fellow peers, for the most part, are great and wonderful people . One of the most loyal and dedicated staffs I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I respect most all my peers not only as people but professionals as well. To be honest if it weren't for these talented and genuinely good-hearted people, it'd be near impossible to come to work each day.

Cons

Management is visibly distrustful of all staff and adhere to a closed door policy at all times. How are employees not to think management isn't talking about us, especially when they've been proven time and time again to be the worst offenders of back stabbing and immature office gossip. here is a blatant lack of respect for all employees, who work hard and put everything into their jobs on pretty much a daily basis. Each of us were hired to fulfill a specific purpose, yet once your have drank the kool-aid and officially are accepted into the company, leadership has a stroke of genius. All of a sudden they have all the answers. Instead of being the stellar employee they promised you to be when hired, your now a no talent, incompetent loser that lacks any intelligence or business sense. The future of WSOL is looking very grim. Morale is low. Nobody trusts the company, nor feels like they are contributing anything of value to their jobs. How can any company grow in this condition? It's impossible w/out key catalysts like innovation, collaboration, strategy, trust and respect in place.

Pros

Freedom to do what you want when management is unable to give clear direction. Friday innovation days help relieve stress from the regular work loads.

Cons

Not a lot of honesty from upper management. Leadership changes their mind often. Closed door policy from owners leaves employees wondering often. Long long hours.

Growing pains - but Company is great

Pros

If you enjoy working for a smaller sized Company this is a great place to work. They are experiencing a lot of growth and the pains are there - but for those people who have worked a while it is very apparent that this is an exciting place to be. Working for a smaller Company gives you great exposure and the experience to not be boxed into doing one thing over and over. There are a lot of great people working here and the managers are really nice. I have not experienced a "closed door" policy which another person brought up. I think the reality is that the Company is headed in the right direction and I am excited to be here.

Cons

It has been frustrating to deal with the construction of the new space but now that it is done the office looks really great. I think that if we could have more regularly scheduled company meetings it would help.
