Pros
I'm leaving a review because I'm shocked by some of the feedback I came across in here. I went from the lowliest weekend shift to producing the top show in 2 years- if you understand the brand then you'll get anywhere you want to go, and quickly. I worked in local shops all over, and none can even hope to compare to 7. Yes, there are lots of long hours, and yes, your bosses demand the best out of you. But if you don't like working all hours to cover breaking news, and if you aren't willing to consistently give 100%, you should probably be working in a different field. For me, that's exactly why I chose this career-- and having WSVN on my resume has served me better than a degree from Yale.
Cons
Pay. It's far below what you'd expect for the market size. But my time earning a subpar salary has paid off very well in my next ventures.
