Low staff engagement due to poor career and development opportunities. Dissatisfied with training/hardly any, poor compensation and rewards. Tools, such as laptops, phones and also travel allowance do not meet the standard of a top professional service firm. There is a large discrepancy between office globally. So my impression might not be representative of other offices. In a few cases communication about important regional issues is poor.

Too much politics. They prefer to hire somebody external with no knowledge of the business whatsoever, rather than train and promote current employees. Once they hire you, the best chance you get at being promoted or getting a fair pay raise is to leave the company and look somewhere else. I worked for almost 6 years getting glowing performance reviews each year but always fell short for a promotion never knowing the reason. The few ones getting promoted worked crazy hours and weekends so at the end is not worth it. Dividends for shareholders going through the roof but employees struggle to get approval for any expenses
