Pros

Great time off Great vacation RRSP matching

Cons

There’s been a shift in the company/culture since the beginning of the year. The companies in trouble and will definitely face some financial issues if the course is not corrected. Before it was about the people that worked there - now it’s about how much can we put on your plate before you burn out. The word ‘growth mindset’ has been thrown around like an old rag. No chance of actually giving you the opportunity to prove your growth mindset. During these last 2 months we’ve had at least 10 resignations and possibly close to 10 “firings”. Every week someone is announcing it’s their last day or it already was and we didn’t know because their slack was deactivated when we went to message. (Yeah they don’t let you know) We don’t need courses/lessons/activities/town halls about growth mindset - we need action, developers need to develop. That’s the problem. None of the engineers are synced with the NA side. Be aware it USED to be a great company to work for, checked LinkedIn look how many former employees left in the last 3 months

Pros

Great people. Some of the nicest people I have worked with. Good benefits.

Cons

- low salary: salaries are some of the lowest I have come across. I interviewed at Gusto and a few of Wagepoint’s ‘competitors’ - all proposed salaries Atleast 30% more than Wagepoint. The company ‘justifies’ this by talking about ‘culture’. It would be relevant if that helped you pay the bills. My advice to all the employees - please interview and see what you are worth. The CEO and leadership need to know that they cannot get away with paying below market rates.

Pros

Can't think of any pros.

Cons

The training is a month long. Once you're out they tell you everything is going good. everything is fine. Ask for "minor" improvements in some areas. Release you 1 week before probation is up. Pay is low.
