Driven team and promising company

Pros

Fast-paced, hardworking group, friendly & loves pets. The team is very passionate about helping pets and putting forth good work.

Cons

Some decisions are made without consulting how long it might take on the engineering side, which can be frustrating. Instead of hiring additional staff or promoting within, team members are stretched thinner to cover the load. Also, it often feels almost expected to work overtime/weekends to hit deadlines. Leading to burnout and low team morale. Benefits are bare minimum, but it is a startup.

Pros

Working here is both energizing and meaningful. The mission is clear and motivating, and you feel it in the work every day. The team is small but talent-dense: smart, kind, and collaborative people who genuinely want to see each other succeed. Leadership is transparent and intentional about culture, and invests in things like offsites, feedback, and development. You’re given real ownership early, so you’ll grow quickly, have a seat at the table, and directly shape how the company scales.

Cons

It’s still a startup, so things can move fast and shift quickly. Processes are evolving, and sometimes you have to create structure where it doesn’t yet exist. Resources aren’t endless — you’ll need to be adaptable and comfortable rolling up your sleeves. If you want everything perfectly defined and stable, this isn’t the place. But if you thrive in high-growth environments and want to learn, stretch, and make an impact, it’s incredibly rewarding.

Smart people, high growth

Pros

Super smart coworkers, interesting problems to solve, amazing office in FiDi (complete with dog park). Tons of room for growth across the company, and good benefits like 401k match and pet wellness/insurance coverage.

Cons

Like many high-growth startups, things change quickly and frequently to keep pace with growth. Roles can stretch into different areas, which is exciting for some but challenging if you prefer a narrower scope. If you’re looking for a more traditional 9–5 role with less change, this may not be the best fit.
