Pros

You honestly feel like you’re working as 1 big team, everyone chips in and no-one thinks any job is below them. Plus also if you work hard there is real recognition of this and reward in form of bonus’s/opportunity

Cons

Not big enough to provide enough roles for personal growth

Pros

Experience in sales, hospitality and good training. It is very easy to get the hang of the role. It is a-shame that the negatives severely outweigh any of the pros at wallacespace and I have left feeling relieved to be out.

Cons

Unpaid overtime is a given, work load is unreasonably high and annual salary is low. The work itself is extremely repetitive and some cold selling is expected. Despite all the above, my least favourite aspect of wallacespace was that you are expected to jump at the clients and managers every whim in a really over the top way. The top review here says something along the lines of ‘if you work hard, you’ll do well” unfortunately, that could not be further from the truth. If you suck up to the right people, you’ll do well. If you have self-worth, integrity and want a good work-life-balance, do not work here.

Pros

The people that work underneath management are great and really friendly. There is free lunch, breakfast and snacks. The offices themselves are lovely buildings with good locations.

Cons

The main problem from the associate directors and managers is unprofessional-ism. All of the AD's and management are in their positions as they are friends with the founders and eachother - it leads to a very incestuous feeling and clique-y environment. You can work as hard as you possibly can but this will not be rewarded in terms of pay or respect if you do not make friends with management or 'the right' people in the company and keep them happy. People with the highest positions of power within the associate directors team will belittle you infront of everyone if they don't like you, they will give you an insurmountable work load that you can not achieve and refuse to let anyone help you. There is a lot of immaturity both professionally and personally as the management within the company are all so young and have not been trained in how to manage people, or their own work loads properly. You don't feel like you can confide within management or above as they all share this information with eachother. This will end in your determent if the information wasn't what they wanted to hear as you will fall out of favour and not be treated well. All of this leads to the turn over being extremely high within the company, which for the (dwindling) remaining teams is also very stressful as you are constantly picking up the slack when people get fired and leave.
