There's a lot of nice people and long-term job stability if you're enough of a masochist to stick around

Cons

Pay on the very low end of the scale, organization sucks, and business model is a joke. They had to legislatively coerce other agencies into using their overpriced services because nobody in their right mind would use them willfully. This organization epitomizes everything people hate about the public sector: wasteful, obstinate, and bureaucratic. Culture in many departments is toxic in the extreme.

Nice building and it is impossible to get fired because nobody cares about much of anything. You can pretty much literally do anything you want.

Cons

Upper management does not communicate...anything. This could be due to style or (more likely) because they don't have a plan. The environment is horrible...talent is running away, legacy people are just sticking around until retirement (nothing wrong with that), the systems and network are a mess, the billing model is broken, operational systems are being kept on life support. Overall, it's not a good place to hang your hat, but if you want somewhere to go so you can slack and simply don't have to work hard, this place is for you.

Great work/life balance and benefits. Generally good coworkers. Ability to work remote.

Cons

Current major project is complete chaos. over budget and well past dead lines. technology choices enforced by Kehoe with no regard to whether it's the right tool or even easy to work with, despite pushback from nearly everyone else on the project, especially those doing the implementation and working with the tools.
