SHADY STAFF

Pros

Being rewarded free Starbucks for making sales goals as well as gift cards. And the pay was decent.

Cons

Shady staff and management. Someone messed up my register and I was the blame for it. Ultimately I ended up losing my job due to that. It was strange that my register was short $100 multiple times and whenever I would express concern to the managers they would just brush it off with "Don't worry about it" They smiled in my face and allowed me to work for almost 4 hours (half my shift) before terminating me. The excuse was "Sorry it took so long" WOW

Pros

Brand exposure. great for networking. Relaxed environment. okay pay for retail. good hours. good benefits.

Cons

Management is unprofessional and petty. Unsafe workplace as far as sexual assault and harassment. At will employment company. Based off of how much they-and everyone else likes you, not how hard you work. This company has potiential to be a great place to work, but the management has to change. Seems great from the outside looking in, but once you’re in there you will see. especially if you’re of color. This is a family owned business so it is similar to a cult. you either fit in or you don’t. it’s up to them if you do. and you if you want to stay. The owners do not check in on their business, it is mostly ran by Anna. You will only see Cheryl and Joe at the Company’s holiday parties.

Pros

Cool clothes and a decent discount

Cons

Cliques in upper management, Managers have obviously never gone through any type of formal managerial training. Poor communication and the reason behind things are never explained. The staff has an exceptionally high turnover rate. Most people quit within the first months. If you aren't in the good graces of management, aka being friends with them, don't expect to make it far. People are often fired without any warning or prior reprimanding. Management is very out of touch with the reality of situations of the sales associates who run the entire store. They have built their entire brand off the backs of its queer/POC staff when in reality the store is managed by cis straight white people who don't remember the names of employees that have worked there for years.
