Pros

Some peers willing to help accomplish goals

Cons

Where to start: 1) Tons of fingerpointing when things don't go as planned 2) Goals which are impossible to meet 3) Horrible communication between the plants and corporate to align on strategies/needs/material usage & production, which leads to: 4) Every day being a battle with coworkers to get things done because collaboration is non-existant, which also leads to: 5) Utter chaos and confusion with numbers and data and a near-impossibility to reconcile them/determine what is accurate 6) The sky is constantly falling; every day something new comes up with is going to apparently sink the company...yet there they are, still standing today 7) The same tasks have to be completed over and over again due to a lack of alignment between leadership and the rest of the company 8) all of the above lead to incredibly low employee morale and a feeling that nothing is ever going to get fixed, so you might as well just exist in a screwed-up environment, because: 9) all the fire drills which take hours and hours (or days) to address take up so much time that steps for improvement can't even begin 10) Jobs are always in jeopardy, every day is a 'what's going to go wrong now and how am I going to have to defend myself from the fingerpointing and keep my job?' mindset upon walking through the door 11) turnover is extremely high...between people being let go constantly (which causes mass chaos because there is no plan for when they leave, just a knee-jerk reaction to fire them) and people leaving for their own sanity's sake, you can't ever get into a rhythm. You get the idea. The place is an absolute trainwreck. And don't expect to have a life outside of work. I can't remember a weekend when I didn't open my laptop, and showing up early (6am)/staying late (11pm) for meaningless fire drills is commonplace. The idea is that the more you work, the better chance you have of solving problems, even if it's clear that it's already solved but just not the popular answer. The more you work, the better employee you are - it's not about productivity, it's about time. Welcome to a flawed 1950's mindset. For the amount of work and hours, the salaries should be doubled...salaries which are already around 20% less than industry average. And the two worst things of all: 1) If you are a non-US Citizen looking for a sponsorship, forget about it. Although almost all the production occurs in Mexico for the largest division of the company (and a second smaller production plant which was in the US was moved to Mexico to cut costs), the CEO will not allow the hiring of anyone who is not American-born. It all goes back to him hanging Trump & Pence signs around the office and finding it funny to hand out MAGA hats. 2) The leaders of the company are not leaders at all, simply managers at best. They definitely are not people to aspire to be like - verbally abusive, crude, and condescending to the point where employees are afraid to ask them simple questions due to the fear of being humiliated. They don't know how to manage people and are totally okay with that/do nothing to improve it. You'll learn nothing from them except what NOT to do and how NOT to act. At any other company, they wouldn't last a day...but as the section below says, they are all buddies who used to work together, so they are all protected and can be as horrible as they want. Oh, and the President of the Toter division is the CEO's little pal who buzzes in his ear and plays gossip queen. Unfortunate that he himself doesn't have a clue how to run the division...it's been short of goals for many consecutive quarters. In summary, to quote the CEO's idol..."Sad."

Pros

Nice building, state of the art kitchen and fun events

Cons

Poor management, very disrespectful when someone suffers a death of a parent. Terrible bosses in AP department, including shared services manager who will lie to your face. Who is also very hypocritical. AP manager is even worse. Loved my job, hated the management. Way too much work put on employees with little compensation. No backup to assist when your on vacation or attending my Moms funeral!! Disrespectful. Not worth it. TRUST ME.
