Worked with some lovely people. Assistant general manager is great; very personable and efficient. Never needed to stay overtime, decent benefits, beautiful location.
Cons
The General Manager who has worked there for almost 20 years is great a managing the complex, but terrible at motivating staff or interacting with residents. Almost no social skills. Rude, takes employees for granted, focuses only on mistakes, never celebrates victories, very sexist.
Very, very little room for growth. Almost no performance-based raises.
Both Board of Directors and Management don’t offer much support to the rest of Staffing needs. Coupled with the toxicity of many residents, this workplace has become an unsustainable environment for hard working employees whose value, commitment and dedication are largely taken for granted or worse, exploited.
