The best company I've ever worked at

Pros

The team is full of smart, kind and funny people who all care strongly about the company's mission, and there is a highly transparent and collaborative culture which allows everyone to see and contribute ideas in any function. There is also a good amount of flexibility in terms of working hours as well as work-life balance. The whimsical culture and prime Beltline location also make it a joy to come into work. Finally, we have a strong management team and solid strategy that's been fueling a lot of our early wins.

Cons

At this stage in the company, there isn't much in the way of benefits, so it's more attractive for someone who cares more about salary and equity. All team members are based in Atlanta and in-office four days a week. This is a pro for me, but won't work for everyone's lifestyle and career priorities. Not to mention, both of these things will change as the company grows.

Pros

Passionate group of co-founders and early employees who are mission driven. Good mix of industry knowledge, business know-how, and hunger to learn more about our customer's greatest needs. There is a strategic plan and clear eyed vision for how to grow the business and TONS of opportunity to win the market. From a company perspective, it's also clear they are working toward a healthy culture. Weekly team lunch, all-hands meetings that are informative but also fun, healthy meeting dynamics, actively considering best ways to implement feedback loops, etc.

Cons

This is a seed-stage startup, so there is a lot of building the plane while you're flying it. Must be comfortable learning, asking questions, and documenting what you've learned. Work is allocated more by objective and outcomes, so need to be OK defining your own tasks on the way to accomplishing goals. For some, it might be a con that currently, everyone is expected to be in office most days (Wednesday is official work from home day). But there is a lot of flexibility when you can't make it in or are sick, etc.
