Toxic management and overwhelming workload create stress
Pros
You get your whole space
Cons
I would say that when you first start working there, it’s a good experience. However, once they see that you can complete tasks quickly, they give you additional responsibilities that you haven’t been properly trained for. Most of the time, when you’re on the phone with clients, you have to figure things out as you go. This creates issues with clients because you don’t fully understand what they’re asking, and you’re left trying to find answers on the spot. As far as management goes, they are the biggest problem. Management is rude and appears to have little to no HR training. On multiple occasions, management came into my office, slammed the door, and yelled at me. It felt like an intimidation tactic. The workload is also a lot. When you tell them that the workload is too much for one person and ask for help, nothing is done about it. The paralegals and attorneys can be very rude at times, which adds even more pressure to an already stressful job. Between the lack of training and being thrown into situations you’re not prepared for, it can be very overwhelming. Overall, this is not a place I would recommend for long-term employment unless management changes. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening because the partners are aware of management’s behavior and do not seem to care. The turnover rate is very high, which reflects the issues within the company. Good luck to this company and anyone considering working there.
