Pros

Free parking, if you walk around, you may be able to find pockets of nice people here and there, like in Sales, Tax, Marketing and Engineering.

Cons

If you are a good person, run, don’t walk away, from this company. They will rope you in on “Growth and Change” but…. from the very first week on the job, you will feel like you are under attack. If you expect coworkers to behave as if you are part of a team, you will be in for a big disappointment. Rather than answering questions or showing you the ropes, you will get yelled at, yes, YELLED AT for not knowing everything about Watts from day one. The questions you ask will not be forgotten and thrown up in your face from the various mean girls and boys in middle and upper management. You will get worked to the bone, 12 sometimes 16 hour days, many weekends with no thank you, or give you credit for your results, just more yelling. They are more focused on looking for errors than noticing any improvements. Most of the time, they are yelling at you because they are confused, or because they saw some incorrect information published by another group in some random report, and jump on that opportunity to scream at you in front of colleagues. The systems are old and unsupported and frequently throw out glitches and errors, which, you will get blamed for, even if you find it and fix it. Turnover is sky high and morale is very low. Nasty cut throat politics are prevalent and everyone is always worried about losing their job. Management will have restructure after restructure. They will demand performance, then “restructure” those who are over performing since they feel threatened with the constant fear of losing their job. Managers will take the credit for your work to make themselves look productive. It’s a fine line to walk and a harsh reality to live through. Management only cares about making the numbers. They don’t focus on customers, innovation, employees, talent, technology, the environment or anything that would help make the numbers. They just have meeting after meeting where they yell at the employees for not making the numbers they didn’t agree to make. They only care about what the “street” thinks and making their bonus.

Really Bad Company To Work For

Pros

They gave me a job and allowed me to do very creative work. They let me design new products and come up with new ideas. They let me know verbally that my work was greatly appreciated.

Cons

They never let me know with pay how much my work was appreciated. Always underpaid and given an extremely high work load. Expected to work 60+ hours a week, for very little pay. Corporate interferes in every aspect of the business. Corporate leaders who are not good at managing anything are put in charge on highly productive people and their productivity is destroyed and turned into resentment. Everyone I know is looking for a new job.
