Pros

Though salaries are secret, i can definitely share through an anonymous review. I started with 20K monthly salary. At that point in time, some of my college friends were placed in MNCs like Deloitte and Amazon at 25-27K. I was of course jealous, any one would be. In the last 1.5 yrs at wemakescholars i have got 4 hikes and my current salary is 38k and my classmates who were flauting their MNC package in college placement have still not crossed 30-32k. So, now when we hangout I offer to pay when I am making 10 to 12K additional incentive also. This is my rags to riches story. And See it is not that they gave me this salary as a charity. I worked equally hard for that, but I was always ready for that extra hard work.

Cons

Starting salary is low, but that’s the risk I took and got 38K in 1.5 yr.

Pros

I have worked at WMS for more than 1.5 years & now working in a well known corporate. This is my honest review about my exp working there and also some things I noted during my tenure there: A. It is not a smooth ride, obviously there are ups & downs. And I think this is true for any company or relationship in general. But, hand on my heart the memories you make here and the frnds you make here are priceless. B. Working in a small org is way different & way better than working in a large one. Large orgs have tons of politics, growth is not super fast, your voice/ opinion/ feedback is not easily heard in large corporates. But in startups this is not true. C. Grass always looks greener on the other side. I say this because everyone always complained too much about every little thing INCLUDING me. But now that I look back they really seem silly. I mean there are much bigger things to focus on in career & life in general. D. Teamwork & leadership skills are very very important. The management (you know who) has complained that I have to improve in this aspect many times & I always used to get angry. BUT, even though back then I disagreed with them, I think its one of the most imp skill in life. And for many freshers (incl me when I joined there) they get their early exposure to this here. E. The feedback that the higher management used to give was sometimes very straight forward (they dont sugar coat so sometimes its harsh). At that moment I used to hate it but as time passed, I realised that I should concentrate on the feedback & not the way it was delivered. Again, I realized this to be true in any situation in life. So all in all, I had the time of my life in these 2 yrs, learnt a lot from everyone. My only suggestion to anyone is, take full advantage of the opportunity right in front of you. Just do your best and forget the rest, dont overthink too much abt the future.

Cons

- Starting salary compared to other organisations is low but exposure wise it is pretty good. - They still follow the old process by taking docs. Anyways, they returned within 2 months. Initially I had trust issues regarding this but later was all good.

Pros

I am working as a financial officer at WeMakeScholars for the past 11 months, at the same time, I have friends who are working in other companies- large MNCs and small start-ups. I can tell you one thing that my role is the most sensible role among my friends. I atleast know what I am doing in my life and how my work is helping someone. And none of my friends even got any proper training in their companies. It was just 1 week scripted training and that’s it. Whereas I am continuously receiving personalized training and feedback. I thank WeMakeScholars for teaching me a lot of things about banking which we never learned in college. And I would like to thank the training and QC team for making me what I am today.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of. Everywhere we will dislike something, but the things I didn't like are very person specific.
