Thank you for the candid response. Perhaps we can respond in the same manner. Despite this ex employee's previous history of poor employment reliability, we decided to give this person a shot and provided the salary this employee asked for when initiating employment, with incredible benefits. This is why this employee took the job. Maybe it was the fact that we learned that this person lied on his resume and constantly spread lies about himself and management to other employees. Maybe it was the fact that other employees were complaining about this person for doing as such. Or was it because you were caught conspiring to wipe computer hard drives to keep your slate clean? Icing on the cake, maybe it was the fact this person spent more time secretly playing video games and trying to sabotage previous employers at work, while letting his team members down that needed him to do his portion of the job, and consistently lying to clients. Again, not the best fit for WebMarkets and its team of hard working, talented individuals. You may want to edit that resume to illustrate accurate accomplishments. Best of luck on your revolving job search.

Pros

In my experience, WebMarkets does well with their clients and produces good work for them. It is a fast-paced work environment, there is generally always something to do and you can learn a lot in a short amount of time there. The pay was competitive for the area. Fun opportunities to experience companies around Boise for Totally Boise. The owners will provide meals & drinks for the office a fair amount.

Cons

The top of both sides of WebMarkets (Medical and Totally Boise) are managed by the owners who are husband and wife. Their duo—while it has brought them success in the area—can make their employees feel as though there are few safe places for earnest and open feedback. If you value a healthy work culture with open and transparent communication, it was not found here for me. I witnessed a high turnover rate when I worked there due to both firing and quitting of employees. I observed employees hesitant to speak earnestly about problems within the company or how they felt for fear of retaliation. While it is common knowledge that any company’s leadership will have access to all work communications, at WebMarkets most employees felt that the owners reviewed chats/emails in order to find dissension or discover if an employee disagreed with their opinions. Whether that concern was valid or not, employees would avoid putting anything in a chat or email that could be taken out of context as criticism. This made communication difficult as some would try to take conversations offline, but what many did was avoid them altogether. I felt that personal feelings had a tendency to be brought into business decisions. I experienced a hostile and chaotic workflow and a confusing management structure. All of these things cumulatively I could not ignore and decided it was not what I wanted for myself or my career.

We appreciate all feedback that helps us improve client and employee relationships. Thank you for recognizing our focus on client success. We dedicate countless hours to developing, implementing, and tracking effective marketing campaigns for every client. Unfortunately during the brief 2.5 months you were employed here, you exhibited extreme resistance and refusal to cooperate with other team members, take direction from management, and complete job duties in the best interests of the client. It made working on projects with you extremely difficult for everyone involved. You refused to take direction from your supervisor, disagreed with all creative edits, and insisted on making changes to the company that were outside of your limited industry experience. Despite this, we bent over backwards to accommodate some rather extensive personal demands, but it really was never enough. We certainly respect your opinion, but also want to clarify that leadership does not read emails or private chats, which you admitted to not knowing if it was actually the truth. This behavior of gossiping and spreading rumors is unhealthy and detrimental to a positive work environment, wherever you choose to empower your career. It just wasn’t a good fit for our company, but we really appreciated you as a person and wish you the best of luck in the future.

Pros

First and foremost, you can rest easy knowing that we do *NOT* say we're like a family. ;) But seriously, we have a great work environment with an understanding of work/life balance. I know this is a cliche, but this is my first employer where we genuinely work hard and play hard. We also have an awesome team who get along with each other well. The leadership is very understanding as they have built this business with their own time in the same work we do. They're very transparent and supportive - they're genuinely great people and they "get it". Benefits are solid - including a healthy amount of flexible remote time (40hr/m).

Cons

I will say the work is tough. There are always a LOT of things going on, so this place is not for someone who can't handle constantly being on a time crunch. But it's very rewarding to be directly impactful for other businesses!
