The focus is on selling the work to the client rather than providing real value, everything turns on a dime with the VP frequently negating months of strategy on a whim, employees are not given any real responsibility or opportunity to advance, long-time employees, no matter how incompetent, are thought of as "family" and get away with ridiculous work habits- working from home 4 days a week or leaving for a 2 month vacation with 24 hours notice and no plan in place are just two examples- and there's generally a very xenophobic atmosphere.
They won't tell you it's a family owned company, but you'll find out fast that there is a caste system at WebMetro. They probably won't be very honest with you about the nature and scope of the job, either, they will say "we don't want to limit what you do" but what they mean is "we want to be able to give you any assignment out of the blue". Being pleasant and amenable to upper management's whims is more important at WebMetro than "knowing things" and "doing stuff".
