Pros

Welcome Wagon has been around since 1928, established nationally, lending it's credibility to it's advertisers in local communities. Health Benefits, good corporate graphics support team

Cons

Always working alone, micro-management, no salary just commissions.. some cities are better than others... Need to pound the pavement a lot so people know Welcome Wagon better for we have younger people now - newer generation running shops, restaurants, businesses & more. Depends where you work - not all cities, towns or counties are familiar with the company . Company does not promote itself to be known better either.

Pros

This position offers freedom to schedule appointments that accommodate your weekly schedule.

Cons

This position offers no salary. 100% commission. Micro-management on a daily basis. The goals are completely unrealistic. No territory or pricing structure. Unrealistic goals and the micro- management make it for a very demotivating position.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We value all of our employees and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. We are glad you are enjoying the flexibility of the position. Along with the flexibility and independence are required weekly activity reports and weekly communication with management. We set goals and organize our training program to help our Community Marketing Executives achieve the greatest amount of success. These structured goals and the training process have proven effective over the last few decades. This is all put in place for your success and the company as a whole. Welcome Wagon explains the commission compensation during the selection process through the Corporate Recruiter in the initial phone call. Compensation is further explained during the interview with the hiring manager. We do our best to explain it in detail in order to manage our employees' expectations. Regarding pricing and territory, we do have a structure in place, and we would be more than happy to provide clarity on this. We encourages CME's to contact the Corporate Office in the event extra support or direction is needed. We understand that you may have frustrations out in the field and want you to know that we are here to assist you. That being said, if there is an issue with your manager and anything personnel related, please do not hesitate to contact Human Resources. We want nothing more for our employees than to provide a positive and efficient work environment.

Not good~

Pros

You create your own schedule Tuesday through Friday. Not much more positive to say about it at all...

Cons

Other than a few hours of online training and about 5 hours of interrupted broken up phone conversations with the territory manager THERE IS NO TRAINING. From what I was told from a Senior Manager from Florida there is supposed to be some one on one in the field training, BUT for some reason I did not receive any. I was put on a "plan" before my business cards arrived and terminated less than a week after they finally got here~ I should have went to Vista Print!!! I was terminated less than 2.5 months from my start date. If you do not get out of the gate with a great start then you are looked at as "dead weight" and when you do ask for help from Territory Manager or the #1 company sales associate it falls on deaf ears and ignored.
