Best team I've ever worked with
Pros
I've been fortunate to work with a lot of teams in different areas of technology in the SF Bay Area, and Welkin is by far my favorite. I believe I'd be hard pressed to find a more thoughtful, respectful, inclusive, compassionate, fun-loving, and hard-working collection of people. Even if we weren't focused on a healthcare-centric mission to improve care delivery and patient experiences, I'd stay for the people. I learn and grow from my interactions and experiences with them on a weekly, if not daily, basis.
Cons
Not many, to be honest, but these are what come to mind: - due to so much work to be done with so few resources, many people choose to overwork themselves even at the behest of leaders asking them not to - while we practice a culture of open and honest feedback, both critical and complementary, i think some people are still hesitant to deliver critical feedback or are unsure how to do so without offending or know if it will be received well - we would all love more information before making decisions, but we could get better at deciding and moving forward more quickly despite having imperfect information, knowing that will get plenty wrong but can course correct
