Pros

Pay was decent. Loved my coworkers and customers for the most part.

Cons

No PTO. The way the pay period is set up, you work 6 days in a row one week and don’t even have 40 hrs. Turnover rate is ridiculous. No training especially on procedures that you are expected to perform, such as mask fitting. Supervisor NEVER returns calls in a timely manner. You NEVER get your 2 paid 10 minute breaks. You get written up if you are unable to take your full 30 minute lunch, which isn’t even a labor law. Most days, you are left alone and stuck on your feet the entire time. You have to deal with rude customers and have no back up from mgmt. I was left alone at a store in a dangerous area and customers came in carrying guns. I urgently reached out to my supervisor and was NEVER acknowledged. Several times there were gun fights in the parking lot.

Pros

Most of the work done is on people who need to get cleared for a job - urine drug tests, tb tests, titer blood withdrawal, vaccinations, and physicals. Other things done are sports physicals, TB tests for people who come from drug rehab, immigration paperwork (bloodwork, physical, vaccinations, drug test), and CPR classes done over zoom with a live instructor. There is no working with sick patients.

Cons

After two weeks of training, you are left ALONE at said location. Even if you're not prepared enough to be left alone. They do this because they say some locations are not as busy so there is no point in having two nurses scheduled. When I mean alone, you are the only person in the office. Patients who need physicals done are done by the nurse and then speak with the doctor over zoom. There is a zoom call that's on all day where all the locations are logged in, so if you have any questions, there is someone who can answer for you. But this doesn't help when you are by yourself with 30+ patients to see, some of which need multiple services done that can take up to 30 minutes. There is so much to take care of when you're alone, that there is no time to do any charting until after closing time. You will not be working 9-5 as they advertise. It's more like 9-7, or even later. There are only a couple of days where you get out a little after closing time. Need to use the restroom? Good luck. You'll have to get everyone to wait outside since you're the only person in the office and anybody can walk behind the counter. If you're lucky enough to be scheduled with a second nurse and it's extremely busy, you are forced to take lunch by a certain hour, or else you'll get written up. Imagine if someone left you alone while it's busy. If a nurse calls off who was scheduled at a location alone and a replacement can't be found, then the store is closed for the day. This means that all the people who have appointments and walk-ins are left inconvenienced and frustrated. This also means that the closest store to the closed location is going to be swamped with work since these people need their services done ASAP. There was a nurse who saw 40+ patients in a day by themselves and had to stay at least 3-4 hours late charting because of this. The point is, the amount of work that's done should NOT be for ONE nurse or even two. There need to be at least two or three nurses scheduled but that's not something they want to pay for. If you're thinking about it, good luck. I suggest you turn the other way. There are better opportunities.

Pros

Regular business hours (9AM-5PM or 10AM-4PM) mean no night shifts. New skills otherwise not available to LVN's (livescan fingerprint certification, I-9 verification, etc).

Cons

Management is made up by a group of adult bullies who use the company as their personal playground. They leave entire stores single-staffed and double-booked despite staff expressing safety concerns. They knowingly administer vaccines that aren't kept at the proper storage temperature. They give disciplinary actions that are unwarranted, including termination, without evidence or explanation. They say it's an "open-door policy" but employees who speak out are treated poorly. Owner is present on virtual meetings but never makes physical appearances, and you will be chastised for going directly to him and not following the "proper chain of command." They keep staffing at the bare minimum then decline time off requests due to staffing issues. Overall they want 100% dedication while treating their employees like the bottom of the barrel. Icing on the cake: they advertise "competitive" benefits but fail to mention that it's crazy expensive.
