Pros

Non profit, has lots of classes for seniors to keep them active and engaged.

Cons

Very clique - either the CEO likes you or your not long for employment there. Upper management is a sham. CEO takes all profits from the transportation side of the business to run his pet programs that don't bring in any money.

Pros

It's a nonprofit organization so you are respected as a person not just a number. Clients/people oriented organization. Staff likes to share food / snacks with one another, very caring culture. 2 organizations in one where they have a transportation composition as well as a center for the seniors and people with disabilities communities in Marin. Get to meet and work with many diverse people and learn a lot. Room to grow and learning / development opportunities. A job with a purpose. Benefits are good and pay is fair.

Cons

At times there will be a need to step up more than others to get the job done requiring more time and efforts but all for a good cause. I always live by if you like what you do, then it is all worth it at the end of the day.

Pros

Great organization. Great mission. Great people.

Cons

This is not a criticism of Whistlestop, rather a reality of working at a nonprofit. The pay is not as robust as it is in the for-profit world, however the trade off is that you are doing good work, helping people and making a difference.
