Pros

Fantastic location, clean offices, and some of the best people I have ever worked with. I am sure that I will remain friends with some of these people for the rest of my life. Some of these people have been the best and smartest people I have ever worked with.

Cons

There is little to no stable structure at the company whatsoever. Things are one way one day and a different way the next with no warning whatsoever, but somehow you are expected to keep up and automatically know about said changes. If you're not a "yes," man (or woman), you may as well be walking around with an "A," on your chest. If you're not part of the "IN" crowd, you get little to no respect. I had such high hopes when I came to work here as they have a large amount of employees with a long tenure. I was sincerely hoping to be one of those people as well, but unless there are some sincere changes, I will not continue to remain employed.

Classism and "Family" Falsehood

Pros

Pay is decent and Benefits are cheap. Fellow coworkers are great, supportive and fun. Always willing to lean on in need when situations are stressful.

Cons

Severe favoritism for the office staff vs. the warehouse. Treatment for warehouse workers are more sever on mistakes than in the office. Usually a simple mistake in the warehouse can put you in line for being fired very fast. It creates a false sense of security amongst employees with a consistent fear of losing their jobs with every mistake they make. Yet Whitmor considers themselves a "family" company. It's an illusion they unknowingly create. They toss out "family" without a glance. If you see a better opprotunity for a job. Take it.

Pros

They do offer health benefits & are located in a nice business park. I don't share the same feelings as the past few reviews on this section as I can tell those that reviewed it seemed to be in the "IN' click & are probably more than likely being paid for what they do and are more than likely MEN. One of the reviews sounds as if it's written directly by the owners son who is the HR director & an OWNER himself.

Cons

They claim to try to do everything to make their employees happy. Well for starters then - let’s stop nickeling & diming on raises to people that slave in your HOT warehouse to pick orders or BUST their humps getting daily duties done in your order entry/cust serv dept, special projects, QA, & out in your samples area. Also consider a larger bonus' to the everyday workers for a change. They take advantage of their staff on a daily basis. The office gossip isn't just office gossip of a few negative people - that is the feeling of several staff members whether they want to admit it to management face to face or not. The "long timers" that happen to be in charge love to keep in knowledge of information & then when a mistake occurs they are the first to point it out & call you out on it to the management - it just snow balls from there. Upper management knows very little about the every day work environment & morale & continue to ignore it.
