Pros

The CEO is actually a good, caring man.

Cons

Too many to mention. Here are a few: 1) Uneducated, unscrupulous, outrageously unprofessional and unethical workers. 2) So many assignments given at once in such a disorganized, uninformed fashion from so many different chiefs that one is doomed to fail, even if they sleep there! 3) Customers one has to deal with are just as ridiculous as co-workers. 4) Pathetic compensation for work expected, both in amount and quality and technicality. No upward mobility.

Pros

Free Food Free food Free food Free food nothing else than free food

Cons

The lack of professionalism at whitsons can be noticed across the company (with very few exceptions). The nepotism and favoritism is at its best, if you are a Whitcomb, married or somehow related to them is for sure that you would be managing a department or be promoted in no time. As the previous review mentioned management is very uneducated, that you end up wondering how come they get to their positions....once again the answer is nepotism. And the uneducated management is the cause of that the smart, professional personnel leaves or get forced to leave. Most of the management that stays in whitsons is because they know wouldn't be able to retain a job in any other company. Whitsons Is the place that you can get fire because you came late one day due to an emergency but they won't fire someone that steals from a manager (even when caught on camera). PS. Human resources they are just clueless

Pros

Executive management talks the talk. The lip service is beautiful. Colleagues are to be admired for their dedication against all logic. You can carve out a nice little niche for yourself if you nod your head and keep your mouth shut.

Cons

Nepotism is rampant and family members are given positions above their expertise and overcompensated. Owners have very little exposure to industry best practices and ignore basic business principles. Experts are brought in, paid well and their advice is ignored. Everyone is overworked and underpaid. There is a closed door policy that leads to mistrust and fear at all levels. The culture needs work.
