Pros

NONE - Well, Cochise County, Arizona is a beautiful place to live, but not enough to put up with working for this unethical, abusive company.

Cons

Forget doing real journalism. Every story is slanted the way the owners and editors want it. You will not be reimbursed for expenses that were pre-approved by your manager. You will be lied to, bullied, retaliated against, belittled and demeaned and not respected. For the love all things journalistic, take your skills, experience and passion somewhere else - anywhere else. You will be glad you did. Worst experience in my entire professional career, which includes 15 years in journalism and another 10 before that in finance, academia and the service industry.

Pros

- A good place to develop your skills and become a faster designer. - Overall good benefits, healthcare, paid time off for vacation and sick, and 401k. - Management was fair about time off and understanding family situations.

Cons

- Poor pay considering the volume of work heaped upon designers. - Really really poor computers for the volume of graphic design work that is expected. - False promises of pay raises, acknowledgement, and career advancement. - Ad reps from the publications get awards every year for the ads you designed, but the designer gets no so much as a pat on the back.
