Pros

Wages are on par with average

Cons

Loads of cons really. Internal promotions tailored to suit certain individuals. Too much company politics. Reluctant to listen. Not confidential with people personal information or situations. Constantly wondering where the next knife in the back is going to come from.

Pros

- People in the operations are most knowledgeable and approachable for questions - For a lazy worker the best place to be.

Cons

- Management is a mix of "survival in the wild" and wrongly placed people. To be more precise there is a huge fluctuation in management positions due lacking skill and ongoing politics. From one day to the other, you will see a new boss here and a missing one there. This is because a) HR is doing a bad job and b) the C-lounge only focusing on themselves. - Too old in all aspects: there are only few young individuals that also leave the company within the next 2 years. This is because they are not offered a career progression, given "intern" like tasks, and paid the absolute minimum wage. This aside, the working style at Wienerberger is as old as their plants and has not been renewed since. - Crisis management: during the pandemic, the C-lounge has not shown its trust in the employees and made them work extra hours whilst being on "short-term" employment and asking them back in the office the first possible moment, leading to a mass outbreak of Covid within the firm. - C lounge, three years and three CFO's. Whilst the CEO is busy polishing his image on LinkedIn, the other three are doing all the hard work. And if something goes wrong he starts shouting at employees. - Politics: ongoing and never changing. - Career progression: you only get promoted if a) you speak German (without a foreign accent) b) cried at the HR for the last 3 years and c) are simply lucky because your predecessor left the company.

Pros

Good sickness benefit Easy working conditions

Cons

Salaried workers get paid very low compared to the weekly workers, especially in the offices, No proper salary tier, and contracts all very different ( i.e. Hours, etc) Bonus paid to weekly workers every week, if your salaried it's pot luck if they want to pay it every year! Annual pay rises are very low Could do with better benefits Your just a number to senior managers, and god forbid you have a voice! HR control the company whereas they should be there just to advise Training gets you nowhere if your face doesn't fit!
