Pros

The people - some of the people who have been at wiggle for a while are some of the best people I've ever worked with, always in a good mood, knowledgeable and driven. The problem is, these talented people are not being offered progression or even pay rises despite the amazing amount of work they push out so are leaving in droves, to be replaced by poorer quality, less experienced (and likely cheaper) staff. There is a casual working environment and a flexible policy on working hours although this is different for different departments. This is a company that really encourages you to not work over your 40 hours, which is rare.

Cons

A severe lack of communication from upper management. Never hear from the CEO through anything other than an occasional email to tell us about someone from upper management leaving. A lot of redundancies recently that haven't been properly communicated leading to gossip and hearsay. HR is too small to deal with the number of staff, this leads to an issue where staff who are desperate for progression or promotion are ignored, get frustrated and leave. In addition, the business appear to be completely unwilling to answer any employees concerns, instead suggesting we "talk to our line manager". No work from home policy

Thank you for your comments. This year we have already facilitated nearly 50 internal moves, to allow for progression and career development. This is something we are really committed to and are excited to see our employees progress and develop within the organisation. We have a multitude of forums where employees can raise questions, or voice queries for example the staff hub, our intranet, or yammer are among just a few. But we do encourage employees to talk with their manager, whose role is to escalate any queries, help support with development, and drive change and improvements through the departments.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and we are thrilled to hear you are enjoying your time with Wiggle CRC. Over the last 12 to 18 months we have really been focused on our people and making it a great place to work. We have Improved staff benefits, our focus on wellbeing, activities to embrace our sports identity (at every level), competitions and normally team events, before Covid, but even then we have managed to get everyone together in some way. As an organisation we have also spent a lot of time focusing on our roles, our structure, and ensuring that all roles are benchmarked against the external market, competitors and internal roles, to deliver fair, competitive and consistent pay for employees. Thanks again for your review!

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. WiggleCR is a great place to work and we really believe we win together, we try to accommodate all our employees by offering flexible working patterns to suit their needs. We understand the warehouse is cold, but this is needed due to the nature of the products we stock, but we do provide all sorts of kit and clothing to try and keep everyone as warm as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact your Team Leader or Health and safety Manager to ask about a Wiggle Fleece.

Pros

Great working environment, everyone is friendly and happy to help. The Employee of the Month award is a nice way to celebrate success and reward people for making a difference. I also enjoy the passion for sport and being able to take part in activities to stay fit and healthy.

Cons

I don't have any cons.

Pros

Enthusiastic sporting community. Growing team, always possibilities. Good working environment, most people helpful

Cons

average/poor management of staff. High pressure and targets. Everything and everyone being measures thru kpi-s and numbers rather than being managed by humane managers who know their employers, this results in a more and more corporate atmosphere. High fluctuation of staff.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed the culture and working in an environment where we all share similar passions! We are a growing business so naturally as we have got larger we have got more organised, so it might feel a bit more corporate, but our ethos still remains the same. We have management training available so that everyone with a team hears about the Wiggle ways of working and how we want to manage our teams. We will of course have a clear view on our business goals and so in turn the KPIs that will help us reach this. We are passionate about what we do and driven to reach new successes, so this means there will always sometimes be a focus on results!

Pros

Other than the employee discount, none.

Cons

There is a group of people in the customer service department that control the working environment and are responsible for the high staff turn over. They do this through bullying, gaslighting and character assassination. If you get on the wrong side of them, their mission is to make you leave. Management are fully aware of this yet the main ring leader of this group is still employed there. Once that person’s current group of friends realise what’s happening and walk away, they build a new group of friends around them and the cycle starts again. This has been happening for years. If you are a narcissistic, corporate psychopath, you’ll do well here. If not, I would avoid like the plague.

Pros

Distended environment, good colleagues, working independently, the security of having a job and getting paid every month.

Cons

Very narrow scope for career progression, poor development opportunities, lack of encouragement to move on within the company, not keen on releasing resources into other departments.
