Great salary/schedule, but small-minded people
Pros
My starting salary was insanely high compared to other job offers as a new grad PA. Great schedule. Great hours. You get to learn a lot and become familiar with how to prescribe different types of antipsychotics and develop interviewing tactics since you see patients with a diverse mental health history. The patients are really interesting, and there is never a dull moment.
Cons
Clan-like mentality amongst all staff there (there are select few that don't meet that criteria), people seem to clique together, and there is no real camaraderie amongst the APP team. The environment and structure is built on the archaic value of what business is -- more hierarchical than it is collaborative. Onboarding process was very slow, and it did not seem that the leadership took it seriously.
