Pros

Plenty to learn and good people to work with on site

Cons

Low pay and minimal benefits. No flexiblity with start/finish times or roster. Sick days and annual leave days heavily scrutinised. Punished for taking sick leave but forced to take annual leave when it suits them. Upper management (Townsville and Brisbane) are incredibly hard to deal with and care very little for site based employees, Can't believe a word they say when being "transparent with information". They act like they will take your feedback onboard then completely disregard it.

Pros

Jobs get done at a relaxed pace compared to other work environments. Option to progress trade.

Cons

Low wages, company fights tooth and claw to keep wages low. Poor communication between middle management and supervisors/trades. Micro managing at supervisor level. Lots of unnecessary rules and red tape when it suits them, safety standards out the window when production is at risk. Career progression is performance based and training is hard to get.
