Pros

- Lots of talented engineers and designers. - Great engineering culture. - Flat hierarchy, generally titles don't matter.

Cons

By far the biggest problem with this company is the founder & CEO. - Founder/CEO truly sees themself as a high-caliber inscrutable genius Silicon Valley tech magnate of some kind, and struts around the office aggressively dominating every conversation. - Founder/CEO prone to condescending attacks about engineering, design, or political topics. - Founder/CEO makes frequent off-color "jokes". Homophobic/transphobic jokes, veiled racist remarks, comments about female colleagues. Founder/CEO hates anything politically correct, openly admits "I would probably get sued if I was in the US". - Frequent child-like outbursts when Founder/CEO doesn't get their way. Micromanages engineers & designers despite zero credentials for being involved in technical decision-making process. - I've personally witnessed Founder/CEO browbeat a designer to the point of tears. Then there's the company. - Company frequently makes silent moves to undermine employee benefits. If you don't chase them day and night the company might just "forgot" to send you full salary. - Company has an extremely immature strategy for incident management, sometimes ganging up and blaming individual contributors when things go wrong. - Founder/CEO further utilizes their "misunderstood tech genius" persona to woo clients; company proceeds to under-resource projects and botch delivery months down the line after contracts have been signed and the spell has been broken. - Project managers are often lacking in technical foundation.

Pros

- Compared to local competition more than average transparency - Less than average overtime for local SH market (Depends on the project though) - Good office location and modern building - Modern tools - Mostly friendly people (engineers, designers...)

Cons

- Extremely offensive and toxic language from the top management - The top management are just a group of friends who founded the company. With the exception of the CTO (as no personal experience), they are all highly incompetent, take no responsibility of anything, blame employees for all the issues etc. - Salaries are way below market. For designers 5-10k RMB below and for engineers 5-20k below (per month), sales people get no commission ever AFAIK - Crazy amounts of unnecessary regulations, rules, micromanagement and more is being added almost on weekly basis - After stepping down from the CEO role, the previous CEO is now labeling himself as "the founder" and just harassing people at the office and wasting people's time with his useless ideas that are just his personal way of showing off his power. They are anything but beneficial to the company and its business. - Lots of lying everywhere. Promises given to employees, "annual trip" that is never held, promises in recruitment, sketchy medical insurance policy that was available only to "some undefined group of people" etc. - Extremely bad HR that always fails to properly calculate and compensate for overtime work. Lots of weird/sketchy and potentially even illegal contracts etc. - Sweatshop culture: Company works mostly on client projects and they'll do anything to get any client and will force employees to do anything to make the client satisfied. They never say "no" to anything. - Whereas the rest of the world is moving to full remote flat hierarchy models, Wiredcraft is going back to the old days with a top heavy corporate structure, heavy micromanagement, requirements to "ask for permission" on almost anything etc. - Lot of tricks and sketchy stuff with contracts like 3 months notice period etc. All of the above is just a small part.
