Pros

Brilliant learning ground, abundant opportunities to work on big projects.

Cons

No basic respect and decency for employee, especially if you are under one of the furious bosses. Very old culture and resistant to changes and innovation. Unsustainable business model. The hours are insanely long. I have worked 72hrs in a week and how do they get away from MOM? The salary is below industry average. Bonus may seem attractive but it does not compensate your OT and you might not get a good bonus at all if your boss doesn't like you.

Pros

1. Abundance of exposure, so long as you are willing to expose yourself to them. 2. Lot's of resources to tap on, subject to the project you're attached to. 3. Big name attracts big players of the industry. Do engage with them more to learn from the specialists.

Cons

1. Pay is lower than market rate, promotion and bonus is also slow to catch up. 2. Slaving culture that makes you feel unappreciated most of the time. OT abundant and no renumeration for any extra effort you put in. 3. Management decision and micromanagement is exacerbating the slaving culture. Insufficient manpower for long durations = more OT and tight work date lines. Project just keeps spiralling downhill. 4. Top heavy management with many questionable decisions. Site work crawls with so much involvement that does not consider the workers and site personnel inputs.
