Pros

People mid-level and down are incredible.

Cons

Executive management is toxic, does not support their staff, does not communicate with staff, thinks the company is untouchable because of a specialized product and is willing to lose customers because of their pride. Compensation is awful, executives have no respect for boundaries outside of work and expect any salaried employee to be available to answer their call at any time, even if they are out of office on a scheduled vacation. Won-Door decided to sell the company to Overhead Door but chooses to not follow any instruction from the parent company causing much confusion on what employees are supposed to be doing due to differing direction from each company. They choose to promote those who will always say “yes” to them and tell them what they want to hear regardless if it’s true or not. We have been without an HR department for 6+ months causing havoc. There has been many complaints about management that leads to an “investigation” of their aggressive, threatening actions and always end up unfounded because those managers are the “yes men” and they want them to keep their positions for the benefit of the executive team. Paychecks are often wrong with no one in the office trained to process payroll correctly. Expenses for the installation team are often delayed or missed for a variety of reasons. The director of operations picks and chooses what is acceptable to pay the installers for and will often have hours backed out of their payroll without any explanation or even notifying them of the changes. The environment is negative, toxic and unpredictable.
