There was a total lack of transparency between the workforce and upper management. CEO ran the company purely on emotional response and not on rationality. You never know what mood the CEO will be in. There was a mass walkout while I was employed here; this is not normal nor does it instil confidence in those left behind, and neither does the CEO proclaiming that the company is 'burning cash' at a company meeting. Tons of very fast changes which seemed strange and like they were constantly trying to cover up something.
The upward mobility/pay raises promised when I joined was non-existent, or offered and then quickly revoked.
The place was run on fear, and it was not a comfortable place to work 99% of the time.
Extremely fast turnover rate of employees/quick termination of employees.
The benefits weren't great, expensive health insurance, and only 1 choice, no 401K options. Any teambuilding was done on personal time and out of our own pockets, yikes. 'Fun Friday' was a joke, unorganized, last minute, nothing fun about it. There were issues with HR keeping accurate track of paid time off, so you have to keep track of it yourself, as well as double check your paychecks as there were often discrepencies.
I wanted to want to work here, but I didn't trust management, how upper management was always just family members, their ethics and the direction the company decided to take.
