Great Learning Experience

Pros

I learned about about human nature working at Value Place. As the Guest Attendant, I was the go-to girl when the manager was out, which happened to be most of the time. Responsibility was thrust upon me, and what better way to learn than to be thrown right in? I had great experiences with every district manager I met.

Cons

Poor management. I don't say that as a disgruntled employee either. In my year of work, three managers came and went-one of which was fired for sexual harassment, and stealing from the company. There was little to no accountability for them, which shouldn't be necessary, unless the managers hired are not of great quality. Compensation is minimum, and benefits are rare. The Safety Attendant position is definitely the worst, with very little off-time, and unsafe conditions. I would highly recommend reconsidering before accepting that position.

Pros

Taught valuable lessons in time management, personal responsibility, and multi tasking. Pay wasn't bad either.

Cons

Not a lot of leadership form management on any level. Hired for 20-30 hours a week at the start, got cut down to 15 by the end of my work.

Pros

"Free Room" 2 Holidays a year, paid vacation, sick time, and 401k enrollment, good hotel experience, perfect place to develop management skills,

Cons

"Free Room is maximum of 4 people having a larger family means you pay for a second room since your demanded to live on property. Your on call 30 minute window isn't what the employee handbook says....leave the property your fired, Small staff means not very much help in overloaded times

Pros

Great experience, you'll learn a lot! The company has great potential. Coworkers are great. Typically they genuinely care and understand

Cons

Absolutely no job security. Over worked and for some way under paid. Other similar hotels will pay more for less. Work load is kind of ridiculous for the amount of people they employ.
