Pros

-Education budget -Budget allocated for working from home -Health insurance -Pension plan -Gym membership (Urban Sports Club)

Cons

-very little opportunity for career growth, often times due to leads playing a game of favoritim amongst employees (often times judging at face value) -no space for criticism towards leadership or the company -an ambient herd mentality that pushes employees into avoiding having any critical opinion towards management or the company (if you have any, you are considered "the black sheep of the company"). -some leads would sometimes use their position of power to bully or infantilize employees (by mocking, vilifying/talking behind the employee's back, disvaluing the employee's opinions/skills, etc.). -some leads would play the victim card and apply company values only if it benefits them or their agenda -constant feeling of exhaustion due to the pressure of consistently delivering the highest quality work under rigid deadlines (often times working with outsourcers that don't understand the basics of their job), which has been worsened with the pandemic

Cons

bad team leads, non technical managers , people hardly work, no emotional connection, not a game company, over reliance on vague data, no place for creativity, useless to grow within the company, everyone at mid-junior is afraid of losing their job due to game leads and top management, internal politics is rife with growing people you like, bad pay, Losing money at a breakneck pace, Games never make it to market

Pros

- great office, nice location - free drinks and food in the kitchen - beer Friday - amazing parties - good onboarding process - free devices (MacBook, iPhone) - people are nice, overall

Cons

- your degrees and skills don't matter; if you want to have a good position you just have to be friends with the right people - your degrees and skills don't matter, you will be poorly paid anyways - you better be German if you want to be promoted and have responsibilities - claim they will support you in career development, which is false - no clear company vision - they promise generous compensation when laying you off (because of bad management) but all you get is the legal minimum and nothing is negotiable - company is struggling - as one of the few women in the company be prepared to get too much attention from some men colleagues (especially when they drink too much at parties...) - some game teams are favoured compared to others, leading to team leads to be extremely arrogant - no teleworking
