It is generally believed that the atmosphere within the team is relaxed and familial. However, this "family" is abusive. This review is subjective, but I agree with the opinion that they terminate cooperation with you, citing a staged performance as the reason, when in reality, they simply didn't like you as a leader. Characters: Team Lead A, a rough and authoritative team owner who feels invincible. She is the "bad cop" among the team leads. I don't recommend interacting with her. She often contradicts herself. If you catch her doing that and point it out, you will be penalized, and you will still be blamed, and together we will come up with a reason for your dismissal. Team Lead B, a clichéd Instagram girl who openly flirts with various colleagues in the office, but despite being a team lead, she doesn't hesitate to humiliate someone publicly. She enjoys mocking and demeaning others, but does it with a smile, presenting herself as the "good cop" among the leaders. If a discussion becomes too complex for her comprehension, she resorts to personal attacks and demands you shut up. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she immediately left the country and started attending concerts, clubs, etc., publicly showcasing it all on social media, while the rest of the country scraped together pennies for medicine, drones, or prosthetics. The leaders live very lavish lives in the midst of war. While their "subordinates" receive peanuts, the management regularly gets drunk in European bars, celebrating while employees hide in basements, warming themselves with candles, trying to survive. There's no support in this regard; the main thing is to get the job done. There are no strict rules, but there's also no real subordination. During general meetings, the taskmasters repeat the same old things about how to work with this or that location, what radius of work to cover, etc. The essence of the meeting is just another round of whipping. Ordinary employees might be subjected to foul language, and Team Lead A might shout during meetings, denying obvious things that could optimize work. Team questions are deflected with the phrase, "the development team will soon add this necessary tool for us." Year after year, it remains the same, but it's easier to change the team than to simplify its work. Some issues can be bypassed if you become friends with the lead and join in on bullying the same people. There is documentation for the project, but it's only used to benefit the reviewers. If an employee argues and backs up their actions with documentation, they may face rudeness, with the excuse that they are "lower-class" and must accept any decision from above, even if it contradicts the documentation. The accounting department is a whole different story. Accountants will never give a direct answer to any question. Messages to them take one and a half to two hours to be answered. So, for urgent matters, contact the personal accountant. Salary delays! If the payment falls on a holiday or weekend, it will be paid after the holidays, not before. So if you expect your salary on holidays, be prepared to wait for a month, or better yet, two. Sometimes, the salaries were delayed so much that employees refused to come to the office because they hadn't received their pay for nearly a week, and simply couldn't afford to commute. No reporting, nothing was initially provided. How much you earned on your rate, how much through bonuses, at what exchange rate the payment was calculated, what tax deductions were applied – everything was hidden, and the salary was given in Ukrainian hryvnia, and everyone had to accept it without questioning. Then they introduced reporting. But the exchange rate was always a couple of hundred hryvnias less favorable to employees than the market rate. Why? "It's the company's internal exchange rate." Even though they could have subtracted fairly, coming up with somewhat plausible arguments. Once someone came up with the "brilliant" idea of making compulsory contributions for birthday gifts. Whether you know the person or not, whether you like them or not – money would be deducted from you for a gift for a colleague, whom you might not have even met. The company was using a Russian CRM system Bitrix, despite being in 2022 and 2023. The HR department tried to act like a professional IT team but abandoned all their initiatives right from the start. If you have questions, they will politely listen to you and say that they will look into your question and eventually (never) solve it. If you cannot tolerate humiliation, swallow all those indirect insults and aggression, then it's time for you to leave. Unfortunately for the management, you are not a slave.
