Horrible working culture.

Pros

They are in a growing market and the company is making money. There are some really great people who want to make the company a great place to work. Some departments are insulated from the politics.

Cons

The culture is awful. The people making decisions are seemingly the only ones exempt from accountability. Its 100% politics. Processes, responsibilities, and objectives (and everything else) are constantly being changed, but very rarely are being improved. Upper management constantly talks about creating a good working culture, but it is clear that they have neither the desire nor capabilities to make it happen. As long as they are making money, they will only care about the appearance of having a great culture...

Pros

Nice location, some good people, occasional technical challenge, constant political challenge

Cons

You don't want to be an engineer here. Constant micromanagement, vicious backstabbing, Kafkaesque politics. There are some dominant personalities here and they will do whatever it takes to make sure they remain dominant. Your career will stagnate, at best. Turnover unbelievably high, due to the regular Sopranos-esque elimination of people who displease the queen and her court. Nonexistent support for R&D on new products. Marketing-dominated to an extreme degree.

Not all it's cracked up to be

Pros

401k, benefits, PTO, company functions

Cons

Talk about promoting from within, but don't really keep their word. Employees are not treated equally. Lousy salaries and raises are pretty much non-existent. Their company awards are based more off favoritism than work performance. No room for growth.
