Excellent Program, Great Benefits, Good People, Ability to help people, feeling good about what you do for a living, loved working there for all of the years that I was employed with them

Cons

Changed contractors so all of the above are probably no longer true, the former Contract Management company (TMC, Inc.) was a very good organization to work for and they cared about the staff, but the new contractor does not seem to have the same ideas on staff relations.

Great coworkers that are dedicated to providing quality planning, management and oversight for the workforce education services for the region. Good HR policies that provide a good work-life balance (holidays, vacation policy, etc.), adequate compensation for the work load, and pleasant co-workers.

Cons

The were instances where the management would make unilateral decisions with out adequately informing the employees. The employees likely would have agreed but would benefit from understanding how or why the decision was made. The organization is mostly funded with federal and state money so there can be some frustrations with bureaucracy at times.

My team is amazing. My supervisor is available, logical, fair, and able to listen to an issue, ask the right questions, and is willing to admit she is wrong (when applicable). She is more of a collaborative supervisor than authoritarian. The limited contact I have had with the echelons above her suggest the same about her supervisors. Each office has a different vibe, so if you are planning on working here definitely visit the location you will be working at first. My team has excellent communication and when there are problems, they are handled in an explicit way rather than hinting around an issue.

Cons

I do not work in the main office, so sometimes I am left out of the loop as far as creating networks within other programs and learning more about them. The work environment in the main office has no windows to the outdoors and is very grey.
